Saturday was full of action on the basketball courts at Collierville Middle School and West Collierville Middle School as Collierville Schools hosted the 2022 TMSAA Regional Basketball Tournament. Middle Schools from Arlington Community Schools, Bartlett City Schools, Collierville, and Germantown Municipal School District make up area 18. Girls' games are being held at West Collierville Middle and the boys' games are being held at Collierville Middle.

In the opening games of the tournament, both West Collierville teams won to advance to Monday's semifinals. WCMS Girls, the number 1 seed, had no challenge from Riverdale - winning 41-2. The WCMS boys had the tournament's biggest upset as they ousted the boys number 1 seed, Elmore Park, 59-53 to advance.

The Collierville Middle School girls also had a thrilling victory by defeating Arlington, 40-30. CMS boys fell to Houston Middle and ended their season.

On Monday, West Collierville girls will take on Elmore Park, 4:30pm, at WCMS. Collierville Middle girls then follow at 5:45 and will face Bon Lin. WCMS boys will take on Houston, 4:30pm, at CMS.
