The Collierville Middle School baseball team punched their ticket to the first ever TMSAA State Championship game by defeating Greenbrier, 11-3, Saturday (May 22) at Friendship Christian School in Lebanon. The Dragons took an early 1-0 lead on a sacrifice fly by Brody Winemiller. Greenbrier would soon take a 2-1 lead, but hustle plays by CMS regained the lead 3-2. Then, the Dragons offense exploded and went on to win 11-3. Ari Bethea picked up the win on the mound. Brady Atkins earned the save in three innings of relief work.

Collierville (12-1) will take on a talented Stewarts Creek team in the TMSAA State Title game at Hendersonville's Drakes Creek Park. First pitch is scheduled for approximately 5:30pm.
