Collierville Middle School Principal Brett Heinrich has appointed Alex Crowell as the school's new Athletic Director.

A Memphis native, Crowell brings a wealth of experience as both an athlete and educator. A former two-sport standout at St. Benedict High School, she captained the competitive cheer team—leading them to four appearances at Nationals and a State Championship. She was also a four-time state champion in bowling at SBA.

Crowell earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education from the University of Mississippi. While at Ole Miss, she served as a Diamond Girl for the baseball team and worked in Recruiting Operations for the football program as an Athletic Ambassador.

With 14 years of experience in education, Crowell has served as a teacher, coach, and administrator. Known for her attention to detail and organizational skills, she joined Collierville Schools in 2023 and currently teaches English at CMS while also serving as the Head Bowling Coach.

Crowell succeeds veteran CMS Athletic Director Nick Marchy, who transitioned to a teaching role at Collierville High School to dedicate more time to his responsibilities as the school's defensive coordinator for the football team.
