Collierville's Ava Stockdale had a great run today to help lead the Lady Dragons in a strong showing at the Chickasaw Invitational in Oakville, Alabama. The Lady Dragons placed 3rd out of 25 regional teams from Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi.

This race featured junior high school teams (6th grade through 9th grade) . A total of 324 runners competed in the race. Ava finished 15th overall with a time of 14:31 on the 2.1 mile course. One other noteworthy performance today was by Abby Chinn, who placed 107th overall with a time of 17:14, who had been dealing with a race injury for the past couple of weeks. Great run for her today.

Today was another great day for the Lady Dragons as they continue to show their strength. The Lady Dragons will be back in action on September 10th at Shelby Farms in the 3rd Memphis Youth Athletics Cross Country race.
