Future looks great for Roper, Dragons take 4th at Chickasaw Invitational

The Dragons had a strong showing at the Chickasaw Invitational in Oakville Alabama. The Dragons placed 4th out of 34 regional teams from Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi. Collierville's Cameron Blankenship set a PR today with a time of 12:58 on the 2.1 mile course today, finishing 33rd overall, which help secure the team's 4th place finish.

Jacob Roper had a great run today for the Dragons. Jacob, a 6th grader, finished 119th out of 479 runners in a junior high school level (6th grade through 9th grade) race today. Jacob finished with a time of 14:35.

The Dragons continue to make strong improvements each week. The Dragons will be back in action on September 10th at Shelby Farms in the 3rd Memphis Youth Athletics Cross Country race.
